PRIVACY NOTICE for Children in Early Years Settings
Privacy Notice - Data Protection Act 1998 We (Name of Childcare Provider) are a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act. We collect personal information from you and may receive information about you from your previous child care provider. We hold this personal data to:
• To enable the Local Authority (LA) facilitate payments to the child-care provider in accordance with the legislation determined by the Department for Education (DFE);
• To ensure the funding received supports your child's development;
• To assist the Local Authority (LA) in claiming funding based on the number of hours attending;
• To assist the LA in the submission of information on your child's funded hours to the DFE as required;
• To assist the LA in ensuring adequate school place provision;
Information about you that we hold includes your contact details, personal characteristics such as your ethnic group and any special educational needs you may have.
We will not give information about you to anyone without your consent unless the law and our policies allow us to.
We are required by law to pass some information about you to our Local Authority (LA) and the Department for Education.
